This painting is part of my Haunted Portraits series. This series consists of portraits that are black and white, blurred, scratchy, or softened to create spectral imagery. The reference images for these come from Victorian photography, mostly from my own collection.The Reference Image
The reference image I used to for Edgar was a carte de visite from my collection.
His face and expression made a perfect reference for a haunted portrait!
